New to Jet and need help with designing a QC Report

Postby david.halliday » Mon Sep 19, 2016 8:11 am

Hi,

I have recently installed Jet Enterprise for NAV 2013 R2 but I’m still trying to figure out on how to use the system and having difficulty on producing a report based on posted QC tests. I can see where the data lies on two tables and can pull the data individually but having trouble linking and formatting it into a final report.

The two tables are “Posted QC Batch” and “Posted QC Line”. The posted QC Line has numerous entries for each Posted QC batch.

I have attached screenshots on what I would like the report to look plus data from the two tables.

Can anyone help me out to get started?

Hello David -

Here is a simplified example of how that could be accomplished.

You would start (cell B3 in the image) by returning a "record key" for the records in the QC Batch table. A record key is (essentially) a pointer to the record. You can then use NF() functions (cells C3, D3, and E3) to reference that key and extract specified fields.

Next, you want to extract individual pieces of data from the "Posted QC Line" table (cells F3 and G3) . What it appears that you want is the "Results" field where the document number matches the record from the QC batch and the property code matches the name of the column.

For more information about the NL() and NF() functions, see the online KB articles:

NL function reference - https://jetsupport.jetreports.com/hc/en ... /218953168

NF function reference - https://jetsupport.jetreports.com/hc/en ... /218953238

I hope that helps get you pointed in the right direction.
