Jet Reports Express with Excel 2016

Postby vinhdam » Wed Dec 16, 2015 12:03 pm

Hi everyone,

Does Jet Reports Express work with Excel 2016?

I had it working with Excel 2013 before; but when switching to Office 2016, the JET tab disappears and re-installation of Jet Reports Express does not help.

Many thanks for your help.

Hello -

While this would typically be a question for the Jet Express Community Site (, the short answer is that the latest version of Jet Express (2015 Update 1, v15.1.xxxxx) has been tested with Excel 2016.

Assuming that you are working with the latest release, you may want to UN-install the current installation and then RE-install using the latest build (available here -->

Do you receive any error messages during the installation process (e.g., something about not being able to automatically enable the add-in)?

If you continue to have an issue, you may also want to manually enable the Jet Express add-in, using the same method as is described for Jet Essentials -->

I hope that helps.

I have a similar problem. Ever since I upgraded from Office 2013 to Office 2016 on Windows 7 Professional, my Jet tab keeps disappearing every few days. If I restart my PC, it reappears. I tried to Disable and Enable Jet Reports again, but it did not help.
I just reinstalled it with the Repair installation option and it seems that it worked, however, I will yet see if this is fixed permanently or will I have to repeat the installation procedure.
