Concatenate two columns

Postby Maja » Thu Nov 06, 2014 4:14 am

Hi all,

I have created a table builder report, which contains item number and item description. These two appear in two columns of course, after running the report. I would like to concatenate them, as they will be used in a pivot table, but it is not working.

The values are determined by the following formulas:
LinkFeld([27 Item],[5702 Item Category Code]) and
LinkFeld([5722 Item Category],[3 Description])
and I am trying to concatenate them in an additional field like this =concatenate(E12;F12). When I run the report it only shows me the values of the first argument :-( Does anybody have an idea for a possible reason (feeling pretty dumb already as this seems to be such a simple task...).

Thanks and kind regards,
Maja

Hi all,

I just found a solution myself :-) Instead of trying to concatenate the columns after the query I integrated it via a table builder formula like that:=NP("Formula";"[@[Field1]]&"" ""&[@[Field2]]").
Quite easy if you got it, but it took me some time...

Maja
