Slow performance Jet Report Table Builder

Postby Emida2400 » Fri Sep 25, 2015 5:57 am

Hello

At our company we've got a lot of trouble with the performance/speed of the Jet Reports, some reports take up to 2 hours before they are ready.

Can somebody give me some tips and tricks for increasing the performance of our system?

Thanks a lot.

Hello Emida2400,

There can be a lot of reasons for a report to run slow. I would recommend checking out the knowledgebase (KB) articles on the Jet Reports KB site.

Improving Report Performance

Batch Function Execution Optimization

Table Cache Optimization

Essentials Performance with NAV 2013-2015 & Web Services

Since you specifically pointed out the Table Builder, I would recommend watching the videos on creating reports using this tool. They can be found on the Jet Essentials Videos page: http://kb.jetreports.com/article/AA-00731/8/ It is important when building your reports that you construct them in the most efficient way possible especially when linking tables together. If the articles above don't help, I would recommend reaching out to a Jet Reports expert and getting some personalized training.

I hope this helps!
