Re: Jet Reports using IBM DB2 database

Yes, we have used it with DB2 databases via their ODBC driver and it works great. You'll need to contact your local Jet Reports rep for further details.

Excel named ranges Tip

Hi Everyone, Hopefully you have started using Excel named ranges in your options sheet for filters. If you have already done this when working in the JFx you can look them up by pressing F3. This is also useful when not working in the JFx but it has been a real time saver for me. Happy Reporting....

Interactive Free way to learn more about Office 2007

Hello Jet Community, Recently I found a new "Free" tool to learn more about Office 2007. Many of us who have made the transition from Office 2003 to 2007 have had problems finding old functionality hidden in the Ribbon (I know I have). Office 2007 offers additional funcitionality over 2003 which I n...

Re: files size

Jetsetter, You can use Jet v9 with all prior object versions of NAV. You cannot use Jet v9 with execuatbles older then NAV 4.0 SP1. Contact your local NAV Partner and ask them for a quote to do an executables upgrade only. It shouldn't take them very long to do the upgrade and if you are current on ...

Re: standard reporting questions. Please help

I will take a try at your number 3 question. In latest build of Jet Reports v9.1.9352.0 (avaliable on the support site) there is a non-documented feature which allows you to see the relationships between the tables and fields. In order to access this feature do the following: 1. Open your NAV databa...

Re: Increase the Excel Row/Column upper bounds

Hi BrianR7,

Please send me your e-mail address pauljet@jetrepo.com. I will get you into the beta program for Jet 2009. On a side note I've been keeping up with Office 2010 and the limit for rows and colums goes up significantly over 2007.

Re: Citrix Environment

If you are using Office 2007 the memory shouldn't be an issue. Office 2007 by default limits the total amount of resources used so other tasks can be completed at the same time. As Mark mentioned you should consider limiting the amount of memory one session in Citrix can use. Earlier versions of Off...

Hi Ashely,

Thanks for taking the time to use the tool. I've played with it for a while and can't seem to get graphs created by Chart Advisor to dynamically adjust, have you had any luck?

Re: Salesforce or MS CRM 4.0 integration

Hi Peter_1020, The reports you have defined bring up a very good question. Have you implemented a connection between CRM and your financials or are the two databases running independent of each other? If there is a direct connection between the two and you are using price lists, etc in CRM which mat...

What version of Office are you using? I've found in Office 2007 it's easier to copy and format information from Excel into Word and PowerPoint.

Re: Easy way to create Graphs in Excel

Some quick feedback about the product. It appears to get the best results from this tool you need to use small sets of data. For example if you want to look at your top 10 products it does a great job of analyzing the data and comming back with suggestions such as a pie chart, bar graphs, etc. If yo...

Hi Sergio,

Open Excel, click the Jet menu, click about Jet Reports and at the bottom you'll see a hyper-link for the End-User license agreement (EULA).
